David sat himself on one of the rusting benches of Lovegrove Park. How he missed this park. It had been a while since he came here. Lately, everything was about school, sports, and lots of other things. It was weird, seeing the layout of this park. Every single place he had looked to gave him flashbacks of the memories he had. All the good and the bad. They all played so clearly in his mind.

He leaned back against the metal bench and crossed his arms loosely on his chest. In honest truth, he had nothing to do. Nothing at all. Where had everyone gone to? It seemed as if they disappeared our of nowhere and never came back. But that wouldn't, couldn't, happen. They were probably all doing something. Something better than sitting by yourself in an empty park.

Lovegrove Park was one of the nicest spots in all of Belmont Valley. It was one of her favorite places to just stop and think. Parker had driven from her house to the park simply because she didn't feel like walking her black ankle boots. Her parents were on a business trip that was going to last the month and well into the next one. It was hard having to deal with your parents never being around but the brunette was used to it by now. They had done it ever since she started high school 4 years ago. The adults would send Parker money on her birthday and maybe a necklace or something to just tie her over until they got home. Usually then was when they would try and buy her love.

Finding her way through the expansive park she arrived at a bench where she recognized the blonde that was sitting there. Her ankle boots led her over to the bench and she stood in front of it trying to get David out of his broody mood that he seemed to be in. "Dave, stop being broody so much" The brunette joked and sat down beside him on the bench brushing a hand through her long chocolate locks. He was known for being broody and she was known for being cheery. They had even made up nicknames for each other building on that, she called him broody and he called her cheery. That was part of the whole cheerleader aura to be cheery.

Now, sometimes, being alone was a good thing. And in David's case, it was a very good thing. He had obviously expected that no one would be around so seeing Parker by his side seemed like a dream. But as the seconds passed by slowly, he noticed that it was real. He wasn't imagining anything. And this one fact had made him a very happy man.

David turned his body directly towards Parker. He was going to give her his full attention, for he had no one else to talk to. "I wasn't being broody. I was just bored, but now that you're here, I won't be," he said, flashing her an extravagant smile. He never smiled at people like that too much. He only did it to a few and Parker was one of them.

For one thing, Parker hated being alone. She always had to have someone with her so she could talk to them and feel safe. That was why she always had a boyfriend, she felt the need for someone to protect her from the world and from all of the horrible things that life came with. Which was making her right now crave a boyfriend but David was just as great as having one. He was someone who could protect her and make her feel safe. He was probably the best friend she could ever ask for. Even though on occasion they did argue, they could never stay mad at each other, it just wasn't possible. He did that cute squinty eyed thing that would make you crack up instead of trying to seem angry. All in all he was a pretty good friend possibly even boyfriend material.

"I wasn't being broody. I was just bored, but now that you're here, I won't be," He replied back to her and she let out a quiet laugh. "Yeah right David, you're like the most broody person I know but good now what do you want to do?" The brunette replied back with a light smile. He could cheer her up when she was down and he was exactly what the doctor ordered for her loneliness right about now. Parker wasn't all that thrilled to be alone right now which was why she had ended up at the park. Normally there was somebody there for her to talk to, whether it be the ice cream vender man or just another distraught mother, she liked talking to people.
